POLICE ACTIVITY | Iowa Park Chief

David Lloyd Wright, 28, was taken into custody in the 100 block of N. Bond at 12:03 p.m. Saturday, on a warrant from Wichita County for illegal dumping. He was transported to the Wichita County Jail.

Angel Matthews, 34, was arrested on a dog/cat vaccination warrant at 8:03 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of W. Park.

Monday July 11

5:49 a.m. – The reporting party advised that a turtle on the walking track had been run over and it appears to have been done on purpose. Wise officers. 9:52 a.m. – The reporting party advises that his landlord gave him a three-day eviction notice from the residence in the 700 block of E. Texas. The officer advised the reporting party that this was a civil matter and that they should speak with the justice of the peace. 10:56 a.m. – The reporting party asked officers to check his vehicle for drugs after picking it up after being taken to Wichita Falls. The officer informed the Iowa Park PD that he did not have a drug dog and suggested that he contact the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. 11:03 a.m. – The reporting party has expressed concern for a subject that resides in the 1000 block of Lincoln due to reports of theft of money and other concerns. Officers advised the reporting party of their options.

12:04 p.m. – The reporting person advises that a resident who lives on Harley Court is backing too quickly into her driveway and squealing her tires when leaving the street. The reporting party said they didn’t even feel the driver stop at the end of the street. The dispatcher advised the whistleblower to call the next time she saw the neighbor driving recklessly. At 12:33 p.m., the whistleblower’s husband called to complain and the dispatcher informed him that they could file a case in city court against the reckless driver. The officer responded to speak with the reporting party. However, the whistleblower refused to speak with the officer because she felt the officers were setting her up. 12:09 p.m. – Officer was advised that a boat trailer was near the flagpole at Gordon Lake without a tag and had been there since Sunday. The dispatcher contacted the owner who advised that a friend had taken his truck and trailer and never returned them and would not return his calls. Civil matter. The woman took the trailer. Subject recovered his trailer later that day and discovered that the tires had been punctured. 3:35 p.m. – Correspondent advises that his wife will not allow him out of the driveway. The dispatcher could hear screams in the background. Officers responded and the parties parted ways.

5:00 p.m. – The reporting party is made aware of a very intoxicated woman who takes off her clothes and lies face down in the water and rolls over in Middle Lake. The woman was wearing cropped pants and her bra. The officer responded and issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and the woman’s son drove her and a male subject home.

tuesday july 12

2:17 a.m. – The reporting party has been notified of suspicious activity with movement and lights coming from the backyard in the 500 block of W. Washington. Officers responded and reported no suspicious activity. 5:59 a.m. – Reporting party is notified that a male subject is sleeping on a bench in the 1400 block of Jackson.

7:34 a.m. – The reporting party advised that she was driving to Quanah and her low tire sensor light came on and she needed assistance. Assisted officer. 6:02 p.m. – The reporting person advises that a male subject threatened him with a baseball bat in Middle Lake. The agent responded and notified all separate parties.

Wednesday July 13

6:19 p.m. – The reporting party advises that they believe their neighbor’s generator was stolen from the 100 block of S. Colorado. The agent spoke by telephone with the owner who informed him that he did not wish to file a report at this time.

Thursday July 14

4:56 a.m. – Reporter advised her boyfriend was at her front door in the 400 block of W. Pecan knocking and being very loud. Asked officers to respond. Officers responded and advised that the male subject had left the residence for the remainder of the morning and day.

8:19 a.m. – Animal Control has been notified of a dog bite in the 1300 block of N. Fourth.

11:59 a.m. – Reporter advised that someone is using his phone number online. The agent informed him of his options.

3:25 p.m. – Wellbeing check of a resident in block 200 of James Dr. No contact, officers will return later.

4:22 p.m. – An officer is notified of an open door at a residence in the 200 block of James Drive. The door has been kicked in and it is not habitable, it looks abandoned. Informed code enforcement.

6:18 p.m. – Officer advised going out with a golf cart in the 900 block of the W. Highway and gave several warnings about what can be done to make the golf cart legal. 8:53 p.m. – Officer advised follow-up on wellness check done earlier today on James Dr. Contacted individual. Everything is fine.

friday july 15

10:33 a.m. – The reporting party advises that a subject passed through the city construction site at Cash and Victoria streets. Officers responded and warned subject to bypass barricades at a construction site.

1:28 p.m. – A news crew in the 500 block of West Texas reports that someone had egg-shelled their home overnight.

5:27 p.m. – The reporting party is notified of a male subject lying in the shade near the roadway on US 287 near Harmony. Officers responded and advised that Wichita County deputies were driving him to Electra.

7:09 p.m. – Iowa Park VFD dispatched to FM 240 and Sullivan Rd. to provide mutual aid to the Burkburnett Fire Department for a grass fire. 11:48 p.m. – The reporting party is made aware of a male and female subject shouting and arguing over W. Pecan. Officers responded and detained a subject. Subject released and parts separated for the night. Saturday July 16

Saturday July 16

12:54 a.m. – The reporting party has been advised of ongoing arguments and shouting at the residence on W. Pecan where the previous disturbance was located. Officers responded and said everything was fine. Nothing is happening.

10:44 a.m. – The correspondent for the 1000 block of Mary Drive advises that he confronted his neighbor about a noise complaint and that his neighbor threatened him. The officer responded and advised that it was an ongoing dispute with several residents of the building over noise complaints. Officers spoke to all parties and advised them to “get out of this like adults”.

3:42 p.m. – The reporting party is notified of a fire next to the pet cemetery. Iowa Park and Wichita West VFDs have been dispatched. The fire department was notified upon arrival of a 10 acre fire and two totally lost vehicles. Fire departments requested mutual aid from Electra VFD, Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls and Kamay. They also requested an ambulance for the owner. Fire extinguished at 9:13 p.m. 7:42 p.m. – The reporting party has been made aware of a subject selling solar power in the Magnolia and Alameda area. Wise officer with subject in block 300 of E. Magnolia. Subject was informed that he required a permit.

Sunday July 17

10:59 PM – Iowa Park VFD dispatched for a fire in the 800 block of W. Smith. The railway has been contacted. Gunshot at 11:13 p.m.

Monday July 18

4:36 a.m. – The reporting party requested officers to escort him to a business in the 1500 block of North Pacific, due to a subject standing near the door. The officers responded. They informed that the subject was trying to get to Pampa.

8:07 a.m. – The whistleblower reported that around 3 a.m. she caught two young males on her doorbell ringing approaching her front door and damaging the screen. Investigating officer.

11:07 a.m. – The whistleblower asked to speak to an officer about the domestic violence. The police chief spoke to the flagger and briefed him on his options.

6:31 p.m. – The reporting party is notified that a motorcyclist is riding on US 287 standing on his back and not holding the handles. The officer responded to US 287, but the reporting party advised that it had passed Johnson Rd. headed west.

6:18 PM – The declaring party is notified of an attorney in the 400 block of W. Poe. Officers responded and informed the subject that he needed to get a permit. 8:34pm – The reporting party advises that someone shot his vehicle with a BB gun and cracked his windshield in the 1300 block of Westridge.
